Thousands of churches were recently invited to enter for the national 2021 Nayler Award for Excellence in Church Maintenance, sponsored by the National Churches Trust and the Pilgrim Trust.

We are delighted to announce that St Andrew’s, Harberton, were one of just three churches in the country to win an award!

As runners up, the judges complimented the team at St Andrew’s on their ‘simple but clear maintenance plan’, ‘clear policies and risk assessments’ and how they demonstrated very clearly how these help to look after the church’s volunteers.

This is an endorsement of all the hard work and commitment of the church congregation and all those in the village who help with the maintenance of the building and the churchyard. The £2,500 awarded will be used towards future improvements to the church.
