Grants and Funding

There is a wealth of information available online around how to apply for funding and grants.
We have included some of the most useful resources here, and you will also find details of our webinars.

Church Grants

The website describes itself as the “only church and faith-based focused online grant search engine.” It lists hundreds of local and national funding sources relevant to churches as well as resources to help churches plan a fundraising campaign. There is also an interactive forum where people can ask questions and get advice.

The Diocese of Exeter has signed-up to a three year deal with Church Grants. The Growing the Rural Church project is also contributing to the cost. Churches in the Diocese of Exeter can visit the Diocese Subscription site to set up an account. For more details, contact the Mission Resources advisor (brigit.kiyaga@exeter.anglican.org)

We are partnering with the team from Church Grants to bring you a series of webinars (see Events below), but they have produced a short video tutorial on how to use the database to search for grants.

Devon Communities Together

The key objectives of Devon Communities Together mirror many of our own. They seek to provide resources and support to ensure that rural communities have the skills and confidence to face local issues and become more resilient, resourceful, vibrant and inclusive.

Visit the grants and funding page

Their website provides details and links to a variety of funding sources.

Devon Community Foundation

Devon Community Foundation allows local philanthropists to support local groups seeking to build thriving, supportive communities. On their website, you’ll find information about eligibility criteria and how to apply for a DCF grant.

Ecclesiastical

The team at Ecclesiastical have developed a new toolkit, Fundraising in a box, for churches looking to raise funds for projects. Churches must hold a policy with Ecclesiastical to access the toolkit, but the Fundraising Hub is full of tips, guidance and resources.
