Our Welcome toolkit contains loads of helpful tips and things to consider when welcoming people into your church building as tourists as well as to worship, but have you ever considered taking that one step further?
So many of our churches have fascinating stories to tell of our heritage. Researching ancestry has taken off in recent years and there is huge interest in learning more about our cultural history.
Shortly, we’ll be launching a project to help churches to identify their unique story. We’ll offer resources and advice to support the creation of bespoke tourism opportunities to enable churches to reach a wider audience and to tell the story of their heritage and the people who have worshipped there throughout history.
